Originally opened in 1968, City Hall has been the principal venue for music and theatre in St.Albans in Herfordshire, England. Originally the leading venue in the town of St. Albans, before the town gained City status in 1974, City Hall is now known as The Alban Arena. Many acts have played the venue for over 50 years, including Genesis, Dire Straits, The Move, Hawkwind, Status Quo - in fact, almost the entire history of major rock artists have played this venue at some time in their career.
