U2 plays their first open-air show during "Dublin Festival 1980." The bill includes: John Otway, Moondogs, Skafish, Q-Tips, Squeeze, and The Police. The Irish Times reports that the day was married by sound problems, and says this about U2's set:
Although the concert started at noon with the Moon Dogs, followed by Q-Tips, many people were lucky to arrive in time to see U2. The young Dublin band played an excellent set of both old and new material. Indeed, their performance was the highlight of the day though John Otway and the Squeeze managed to get through an enjoyable set before the Police took the stage at about 6.50 p.m.
The show marks the last known performance of "Another Day."
The RTÉ Archives shared some footage of this show on it's 40th anniversary in 2020.
Only the above songs can be confirmed as being played. The remaining songs and the correct running order is unknown.
