U2's first show on U.S. soil is largely a repeat setlist-wise from Vancouver two nights earlier, with the exception of "Bad" taking the place of "MLK" as the fourth song of the night, and an impromptu version of "I Will Follow" to end the show. Despite the similar setlists, the show bears little else in common with Vancouver. U2 plays much more confidently -- opening night nerves are a thing of the past.
Bono returns to his traditional habit of sprinkling various snippets throughout the show, something he barely did at all on opening night. The biggest difference, however, is the guest appearance by Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, plus the members of opening act Mumford & Sons, who all join U2 on stage to sing "Mothers Of The Disappeared." Vedder's appearance almost sends the hometown crowd into a state of euphoria.
