The setlist remains the same and there are no surprises until the end. Bono thanks many of the crew throughout the show saying that “they helped create the Joshua Tree!”
The show features (as of this writing) the 950th known live performance of “Pride.”
During “Still Haven’t Found,” Bono mentions the wedding vow renewal ceremony that the band attended the day before at the Christ the Redeemer statue in nearby Rio de Janeiro for their manager Guy Oseary and his wife, Michelle Alves. Following, “With Or Without You,” Bono names checks Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves, who also attended the ceremony.
Bono also makes mention of all the bands wives, especially, Adam’s wife, Mariana (a Brazilian), who all seem to be in attendance at the show.
The show also has a sad overtone for fans as well, as this may very well be the last time some of these Joshua Tree songs are performed live.
Daniel Lanois joins the band and takes over lead vocals for a special version of “Mothers Of The Disappeared” to end the main set.
The show ends with a very rousing version of “I Will Follow.”
"You're The Best Thing About Me" from this show is later streamed as part of The U2 Experience from Amazon.com on November 29, 2017.
