Comments: U2 opens a five-show stand in Chicago, but Bono is a bit under the weather. He doesn't do his typical visit with fans on arrival at the arena, and Bono's security guy, Brian, tells fans that he's not feeling well. Bono's voice holds up during the show, but listeners can tell that he's bit more hoarse than normal.

It's U2's first show since the tragic murders in Charleston, South Carolina, and Bono references it during "Pride" when he says, "Dr. King, we need you now more than ever. In Ferguson, in Baltimore, in Charleston!"

A portion of the video screen stops working during the second half of the show, and remains dead until the end of the night. (Click the "Photos" tab to see a picture from the GA floor.) Bono tells the audience that Mick Jagger, Chris Rock, Jimmy Buffett and Paul McGuinness are at the show -- for McGuinness, it's the first U2 show he's seen since stepping away as the band's manager in 2013. Bono also namechecks Jim Henke during the show, so we'll assume he was there, too.
