Comments: U2 plays the final show of the European tour, and its first show in Brussels (and this stadium) since the 360 tour in 2010.

Larry watches Noel Gallagher's opening set from inside the Red Zone.

At the end of the main set, Bono tells the crowd that the tour "began" in Belgium, a reference to the fact that U2's stages are built by Stageco. He also calls out "Smasher," a longtime member of U2's video crew who's from Belgium. Before "One," Bono says the show is dedicated to Sam Shepard, who died a day ago. Bono says Shepard "set my mind on fire" in the 1980s as U2 worked on The Joshua Tree. At the end of "One," he sings a snippet of Patti Smith's "Ghost Dance" -- "we shall live again," he sings several times. Smith and Shepard dated and collaborated in the 1970s.
