U2 plays the first of two nights in Los Angeles at the same venue where the band played five shows on the I+E tour in 2015. Reports of major traffic problems around The Forum cause some fans to arrive to the show late… or not at all!
The only real set list change is that "Red Flag Day" returns after missing the second Las Vegas show and is now moved up in between "I Will Follow" and "Gloria." Its reappearance puts the show back at 26 songs overall, with nine from Songs Of Experience.
Bono name checks former U.S. Representative Gabby Giffords -- who is at the show -- during "Beautiful Day," and mentions Jimmy Iovine during "Desire."
"Until The End Of The World" features a first-time snippet of Kurt Weill's "Alabama Song." But with the show taking place in Los Angeles, we are assuming that Bono was referencing The Doors version of the song.
Upon returning to the stage for the encore, Bono joins in on the sing-a-long of "Women Of The World" playing over the PA.
Stewart Copeland, Beck and Niall Horan (from One Direction) are spotted in the VIP area at the show.
