Comments: U2 opens the Elevation Tour with two sold nights in Sunrise, Florida, after about two weeks of rehearsal in nearby Miami.

The show and rest of the tour features general admission tickets on the floor for the first time at a U2 concert in the US, and will be used at all subsequent U2 tours to date.

"Elevation" opens the show after the band take the stage with the house lights still on and the Influx Mix of "Elevation" playing on the PA. The two of which will serve as the intro music and opening song at every show on the entire tour except for the October Notre Dame show.

A scary moment occurs during "Until The End Of The World," when Bono walks backward off the catwalk. He climbs back up and continues the show unscathed.

Bono plays the piano for possibly the first time at a U2 show during "The Sweetest Thing."

Bono recites parts of Psalm 116 over the beginning "Streets."

The main set ends with "The Fly," and Bono exits the stage by going through the crowd on the floor, engulfed in security.

The show features the first public performances of "In A Little While" and "Walk On." "Walk On" closes the show and will close every show on the Elevation Tour except for the July show in Turin and the  last show in New York City in October.

Notable celebrities in attendance are Lenny Kravitz, Elvis Costello, Christy Turlington, Helena Christensen, Rick James and members of Pearl Jam.
